Icons have been and continue to be a crucial facet of visual branding and design. More than ever, the immediateness of strong icon design directly correlates to user experience and ultimately both the initial and sustained success of a company's branding, both through digital and print media alike. My goal here was to create high-quality icons that stay on top and ahead of current stylistic trends, while not sacrificing usability or intent.
Poised to be the next big trend, isometric icons are being more widely used than ever before. The main task of icons is to draw users in and effectively guiding them through a digital or print experience remains the same. Embracing a modern approach is become vital in order to leave a longer lasting visual impact on users thus increasing information retention and brand recognition.
The possibilities for isometric icon design truly are endless, but with them so the challenges. The technical restrictions of following very specific grids can leave little room for play, but I managed to circumvent these challenges both with ease and style, because staying on top of trends should not come at the sacrifice of effective visual communication
